9668404-06511 Job Description Make an impact supporting students academic and emotional development as a full-time contracted School Psychologist within a vibrant educational setting near New Haven, CT. For the upcoming school year, several openings are available, with positions spanning K-12. Youll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide essential psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and consultation for a diverse student population, enhancing their ability to thrive in both classroom and social environments.
Qualifications:
Hold or be eligible for Connecticut School Psychologist Certification Endorsement #070 through CSDE Completion of a graduate degree/program in School Psychology, including required coursework and supervised internship/fieldwork experience Strong understanding of evidence-based assessment and intervention strategies Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interventions for elementary, middle, and high school students Manage a varied caseload (approximately 50 students), adapting services as student needs change Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop student support plans Consult with interdisciplinary teams to guide data-driven decision-making Provide crisis intervention, individual/group counseling, and behavioral support Participate in IEP meetings, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure services comply with state and federal regulations
