This contract position, situated near Putnam, CT, is ideal for experienced school psychologists interested in a part-time schedule of two days per week. Working directly with a high school caseload, your expertise will encourage student well-being and personal growth as you deliver essential counseling support.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Credentialed or licensed as a School Psychologist (as required by state regulations) Previous experience working within a school environment, preferably with high school students Strong counseling skills with the ability to connect and build trust with adolescents Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities Commitment to ethical, empathetic, and confidential support of students
Role Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small group counseling for high school students, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges Collaborate with school staff to identify students in need of counseling support and maintain open communication regarding student well-being Maintain accurate, confidential records of student interactions and progress Consult with teachers, administrators, and families as needed, always adhering to privacy policies and ethical standards Utilize evidence-based practices to help students develop coping skills, resilience, and emotional regulation Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
