at State of Delaware in New Castle, Delaware, United States Job Description This position will be responsible for overseeing the Psychology Department personnel and ensuring psychological and therapeutic services are provided by the department in a manner that addresses the needs of clients with severe mental illness and court involvement. Services may be carried out in the inpatient psychiatric and/or forensic setting of the hospital. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing clinical as well as administrative supervision and support to the staff of the Psychology Department, overseeing behavior plans, treatment plans, testing, groups as well as individual therapy. The incumbent may need to provide coverage for other psychologists in the department, as needed, and may be required to supervise Psychology interns and students. JOB REQUIREMENTS

for Psychologist Supervisor Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Possession of a Delaware Psychologist license or eligibility for a Delaware license. Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees.
