Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing vital psychological services in a supportive school setting near New Castle, DE on a contract basis. Qualifications & Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution Valid and current state certification as a School Psychologist Experience conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and implementing intervention strategies Familiarity with state and federal education laws and regulations Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams Previous experience providing school-based psychological services preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Perform psychological evaluations, including cognitive, academic, social, and emotional assessments Collaborate with faculty, parents, and outside professionals to develop tailored educational plans for students Contribute to IEP meetings and assist with goal-setting and accommodations Support students through individual and group counseling sessions Provide crisis intervention and consultation for students facing acute challenges Deliver training and psychoeducation for staff and families as needed Maintain accurate records and adhere to all confidentiality requirements This contract position offers flexibility, opportunities for professional growth, and a chance to truly make a positive difference in students' lives.
