Job Description

Step into a role where your expertise as a School Psychologist directly supports young learners and their families. This contract position focuses on early childhood, working with children ages PreK to 4 years old at a specialized center. The assignment is located near Smyrna, DE and runs through the end of the school year, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference. Responsibilities in this position include conducting assessments, providing counseling and behavioral support, and collaborating with educators and families to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You'll have the chance to nurture a diverse caseloadprimarily PreK children, with occasional involvement from programs serving Hispanic and low-income families. Flexibility is built in, as both full-time and part-time schedules are considered. To be considered for this position, youll need: Valid Delaware School Psychologist certification Experience or passion for working with preschool and early elementary-aged students Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families Commitment to culturally responsive practices and supporting a diverse student population Key responsibilities: Conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting results Providing direct services to students such as counseling and skill-building Leading or participating in team meetings for special education services Consulting with teachers and parents to develop support strategies Maintaining thorough documentation and adhering to all compliance requirements Youll step into a welcoming environment that values both your clinical skills and your commitment to young children's growth.
