Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for a School Psychologist in a vibrant educational setting near Miami Beach, FL. This unique role offers the chance to provide essential psychological and counseling services while collaborating with a dedicated team that values your expertise—especially your ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish. The school is currently seeking to complement its onsite psychologist with a bilingual professional to better serve students and families. This position begins as part-time with potential to transition into a full-time role depending on your fit, availability, and the evolving needs of the school community.
Key Qualifications:
State certification/license as a School Psychologist Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required Previous school psychology experience preferred, especially within diverse communities Strong interpersonal and cultural competency skillsPrimary Responsibilities:
Conduct student assessments, participate in IEP/504 plan meetings, and deliver direct counseling services Collaborate with educational staff, families, and students to support academic, social, and emotional success Serve as a liaison between non-English speaking families and the school team Provide crisis intervention and consultative support as needed This contract offers flexibility for professionals seeking a non-standard school year (NSY) role, with immediate impact and room to grow.
