JOB SUMMARY
The licensed Clinical Psychologist is responsible to provide a broad spectrum of clinical services including but not limited to intake and eligibility, coordination of mental health services, clinical assessments and psychological interventions. Child and adult psychological testing and reports. Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists and case managers.
JOB CLASSIFICATION
PhDDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDiagnoses or evaluates mental and emotional disorders of individuals, and administers programs of treatment by performing the following duties:
- Interviews patients when referred for a psychological evaluation.
- Performs psychological testing utilizing standardized tools to diagnose various development / psychological problems.
- Serves as a consultant to the psychiatrist staff when appropriate.
- Observes patients in play or other situations, and selects, administers, and interprets intelligence, achievement, interest, personality and other psychological tests to diagnose disorders and formulate plans of treatment.
- Provides direct individual and group clinical services to outpatient clients (to include screening, evaluation, and counseling/therapy).
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans, specifying type, frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
- Discuss the treatment of problems with clients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness, of counseling or treatments, and the accuracy and completeness of diagnoses, then modify plans and diagnoses as necessary.
- Selects approach to use in individual therapy such as directive, nondirective, and supportive therapy and plans frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
- Coordinate and assure compliance with Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) established between the agency and other social service agencies.
- As the in-house clinician responsible for the psychological aspects of mental health services, consult with case management, clinical and community services staff as requested.
- Conduct psychological testing and write reports.
- Work with intake coordinators and other staff, as requested, to develop and monitor compliance with assessment protocols for psychological evaluations.
- Assist in development, implementation, monitoring and team management of comprehensive psychological services for consumers, including but not limited to counseling services.
- Collaborates with Psychiatrist and other specialists in developing treatment programs for patients.
- Instructs and directs students serving psychological internships in hospitals and clinics.
- Participates in research regarding personality development and adjustment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental disorders.
- Serves as consultant to industrial, social, educational, welfare, and other agencies on individual cases or in evaluation, planning, and development of mental health programs.
- Develop, direct, and participate in training programs for staff and students.
- Maintains 80% productivity monthly.
- Completes billing forms within the same day of intervention.
- Provides accurate and timely documentation in patient charts within policy expectations.
- Adheres to Confidentiality Policies and Procedures / HIPAA Regulations.
- Conduct psychological testing to include adults and children.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING REQUIREMENTS
The position focuses significantly on psychological testing of children beginning at approximately age 4 and up, as well as adolescent and adult testing. Testing may include the following standardized assessment tools:

QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate from an Accredited University with a Doctoral Degree (PhD, PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology. Must have 2 - 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have computer knowledge database software; internet software; spreadsheet software and word Processing software experience.
Experience with psychological testing of children, adolescents, and adults is required, with significant experience testing children approximately age 4 and up. Experience administering, scoring, interpreting, and reporting standardized psychological assessments is required. Familiarity with the psychological testing instruments listed above is expected.
