Job Description

Opportunity Overview:
Maximus has an exciting opportunity available for Mental Health Professionals and Registered Nurses in the State of Iowa. If you are looking to make a meaningful difference in your community and earn supplemental income, we invite you to learn more about joining our independent contractor network! We are seeking Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs), Licensed Social Workers (LISWs, LMSWs, LCSWs), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) and Psychiatric Registered Nurses (RNs) to complete assessments on a flexible, fee-for-service basis. This is a wonderful opportunity to earn extra money and set your own schedule while providing a valuable service to the adult citizens of Iowa.
About Maximus Clinical Services:
Maximus is a leader in providing specialized assessment services and is partnered with the State of Iowa to administer PASRR (Pre-admission Screening and Resident Review) assessments. PASRR is a federal requirement designed to ensure that all individuals seeking admittance to a Medicaid-certified nursing facility are evaluated for mental illness, offered the most appropriate setting for their needs, and receive the services they need in those settings. We are partnering with quality-driven behavioral health professionals throughout the State of Iowa to administer PASRR assessments on a PRN basis.
Position Details and Responsibilities:
Assessments can be accepted or declined as your schedule allows. There are no quotas. Assessments can be scheduled during a time that is convenient, but must be completed within 48 hours from the time of acceptance. PASRR assessments are primarily administered in hospitals and nursing facilities. These must be completed in person. Assessments will be completed within your community and surrounding communities. There is no office to report to.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Master's degree in human services field or Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Iowa. Minimum of two years adult clinical behavioral health experience. Must be conflict of interest free, which includes: no current employment with state psychiatric hospitals, nursing facilities, or managed care organizations.
