Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school psychologist opportunity is available for the 2024-2025 academic year in Arlington Heights, IL. This contract position spans from August 26, 2024, through June 10, 2025, serving an elementary school population of approximately 380 students. The role follows a standard school schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting initial and re-evaluations for special education eligibility. Collaborating with educational teams to support Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) through data review and intervention planning. Providing crisis support and interventions for students as needed. Participating in evaluations for both public and parochial students under guidance from the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services. Maintaining compliance with assessment and documentation protocols without delivering IEP therapy sessions.
Qualifications and experience desired:
Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist. Experience working within elementary education settings. Strong assessment and evaluation skills aligned with special education and MTSS frameworks. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Competence in crisis intervention and student support strategies. Familiarity with educational policies and procedures governing special education and student services.
