Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to provide school psychologist services for high school students during the upcoming academic year. This is an onsite contract opportunity within a supportive educational environment, serving a caseload of approximately 30 students. The position begins August 10, 2026 and runs through May 14, 2027, with consistent daytime hours from 7:30AM to 3:00PM. You'll play a pivotal role in helping students achieve success by delivering psychological assessments, collaborating with educators, and guiding interventions that foster wellbeing and positive educational outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active, valid Illinois School Psychologist license required Experience working with high school-aged students preferred Knowledgeable in best practices for psychological assessments and interventions in educational settings Effective communicator—able to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families Comfortable working independently and sharing expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to being onsite throughout the contract period
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and interpret findings for high school students Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement strategies supporting student learning and emotional development Support students individually and in small group settings as needed Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to intervention planning Maintain thorough and confidential records of service delivery and evaluations This contract role provides an excellent opportunity to make a difference in a focused caseload and supportive school environment over the course of a full academic year.
