Located within easy reach of Berwyn, IL, this position centers on supporting the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students at a single school site. Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Valid license and certification as a School Psychologist Previous experience in public schools or educational settings (grade 3-12 preferred) Solid knowledge of psychoeducational assessments, IEP processes, and special education law (IDEA, FERPA) Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators, specialists, families, and students Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and reevaluations for students receiving special education services Review each students educational history, outside evaluations, and relevant medical or developmental background Administer, score, and interpret a wide range of assessments: psychological, cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, behavioral, and academic Gather observational and anecdotal data from classrooms as well as input from teachers, caregivers, and allied service professionals Actively participate in eligibility determination and IEP meetings Collaborate closely with educators, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, behavior specialists, and school administrators Ensure full compliance with federal and state special education guidelines, timelines, and documentation standards Deliver thorough and timely psychological reports, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete This role is ideal for School Psychologists seeking a focused, collaborative environment where your expertise will have a direct impact.
