Job Description

Make an impact in a supportive middle school environment as a School Psychologist working full-time on a contract basis. This position is based near Buffalo Grove, IL, offering an enriching opportunity for professionals looking to work with students and educators in a collaborative setting. As the assigned building psychologist, you'll support the social, emotional, and academic needs of students without providing direct service minutes. Your primary goal is to facilitate student success by working with teachers, counselors, and administrators, all within a consistent weekday schedule from 7:30 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday. This role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the current school year.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (State of IL or eligible) Experience supporting middle school populations strongly preferred Familiarity with school-based psychological assessments and processes Ability to consult and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Capable of documenting findings and recommendations promptly and accurately
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and contribute to IEP planning Provide consultation to staff regarding best practices for supporting diverse learners Collaborate with families and school personnel to create individualized support plans Offer expertise in behavioral interventions and progress monitoring Maintain comprehensive and confidential student records This engaging role offers the chance to positively influence student growth and school culture, all while working a convenient, consistent daytime schedule.
