Job Description

Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a full-time school psychologist in a middle school setting near Buffalo Grove, IL. This role is perfect for professionals passionate about supporting students' growth and fostering positive learning environments, with an immediate start date continuing through the end of the school year. As a key member of the educational team, you'll contribute to a collaborative atmosphere without the need for direct service minutes. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM, allowing for a consistent weekday schedule.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Illinois Previous experience in a K-12, preferably middle school, educational environment Strong understanding of special education processes, assessments, and compliance Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with students, staff, and families Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to dynamic school needs Passion for promoting students' academic, social, and emotional development
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the building psychologist, supporting a middle school population Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and participate in eligibility meetings Assist in the development, implementation, and review of IEPs and 504 plans Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to support effective interventions Promote student well-being through proactive initiatives and responsive support Maintain thorough and timely documentation of assessments, recommendations, and interventions
