Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Discover an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a contracted school psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This full-time position runs from August 2026 through May 2027, serving a PreK-8 district near Elgin, IL. The anticipated workload is 35-37.5 hours per week, with the specific grade level and caseload to be determined—flexibility and adaptability across all grade levels are a must.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement Previous experience as a school psychologist, preferably in a PreK-8 school environment Bilingual fluency in Spanish strongly preferred Ability to thrive in dynamic settings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Offer direct support services and consultation to staff, families, and students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and specialists to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment Support crisis intervention, problem-solving, and data-driven decisions to enhance student well-being As an onsite role, this is a chance to work hands-on in a vibrant school community, making a real impact on student outcomes.
