Job Description
$50,000 – $52,000/Annually The Logistics & Transportation Coordinator provides support to the team by helping drive cost saving initiatives, process optimization, and cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate brings experience in domestic transportation combined with a process-oriented mindset and skills to help build out the department with new ideas to create efficiencies. Your Responsibilities Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Oversee daily domestic LTL, FTL, and parcel carrier operations, including issue resolution, refusals, damages, and rescheduling. Demonstrated knowledge of domestic LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping, including carrier management and rate negotiation. Own relationships with key carrier partners including UPS and contracted freight carriers; identify opportunities to test and onboard alternative carriers for cost efficiency and operational effectiveness. Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual communication volume and communicate your ideas to the IT Director. Monitor carrier performance metrics and escalate or remediate underperforming partners. Drive the documentation and standardization of logistics processes and standard operating procedures across 3PL and transportation partners. Ensure all shipping requirements for major accounts are documented, communicated and enforced with partners. Proactively track account-driven changes and update SOPs accordingly to minimize chargebacks and compliance penalties. Support import/export operations as a secondary point of contact. What We're Looking For Minimum Qualifications 1+ years experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation operations Demonstrated knowledge of domestic LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping, including carrier management and rate negotiation Experience filling out a BOL (bill of lading) Proven people management experience with a track record of driving accountability Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data and translate findings into clear recommendations Experience developing or enforcing SOPs and operational documentation Proficiency in ERP and/or WMS systems Benefits Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance Long-term disability insurance 401k with company match 15 days
