Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity serving middle school students as a School Psychologist for a vital maternity leave position. This full-time, onsite contract role is conveniently located near Elgin, IL, and covers the period from October 1, 2026, through December 2026. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the academic and social-emotional growth of middle school students. This position is tailored for a compassionate, resourceful professional who thrives in a collaborative school environment and is passionate about helping students succeed. What you'll bring: Current and active School Psychologist license for Illinois (required) Proven experience working with middle school students, ideally in an educational setting Strong skills in assessment, consultation, crisis intervention, and individualized educational planning Excellent communication and organizational abilities Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Your contributions will include: Providing comprehensive psychological services for middle school students Administering assessments and interpreting results to support student learning and emotional well-being Consulting with educators, administrators, and families to develop strategies for student success Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contributing expertise to support student goals Delivering support through counseling, intervention, and skill-building sessions Ensuring compliance with state and federal special education requirements This contract position offers you the chance to make an impact in a dynamic school environment and support a wonderful community of learners during a key transition.
