$60-$80 per hour , based on experience and qualifications Make a Meaningful Impact in HIV Care Chicagoland Infectious Disease (CID) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Psychologist to provide outpatient behavioral health services to adults living with HIV. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychologist seeking a flexible part-time schedule while making a meaningful impact within a collaborative infectious disease care environment. The Clinical Psychologist will work alongside infectious disease physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to address patients' behavioral health needs, support treatment adherence, and promote overall well-being. The position initially requires approximately one half-day clinic per week , with the opportunity to expand as patient volume grows. Responsibilities Provide individual psychological therapy and behavioral health services to adult patients. Conduct psychological and psychosocial assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Evaluate and address depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment disorders, substance use, and other behavioral health concerns. Provide evidence-based, patient-centered behavioral health interventions. Support medication adherence and engagement in HIV medical care. Identify psychosocial barriers that may affect treatment and overall health outcomes. Coordinate care with infectious disease physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other members of the care team. Connect patients with appropriate behavioral health and community resources. Document clinical encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR). Complete documentation in accordance with professional standards and payer requirements. Participate in interdisciplinary case consultation and care coordination as needed. Qualifications Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program. Current, unrestricted Illinois Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP/PhD/PsyD) license. Experience providing outpatient psychotherapy. Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Eligible for credentialing and participation with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with individuals living with
HIV/AIDS.
Experience in an outpatient healthcare or integrated behavioral health setting. Experience with trauma-informed care. Experience working with LGBTQ+ populations. Experience with substance use disorders and/or serious mental illness. Knowledge of HIV care, treatment adherence, and healthcare access barriers. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
