Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role dedicated to making a meaningful impact on students' lives as a School Psychologist. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to collaborate with educators, parents, and fellow professionals to promote students' academic, social, and emotional growth. You will play a key part in creating supportive learning environments and implementing strategies that foster student success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement Experience with psychological assessments, counseling, and intervention planning Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and staff Commitment to culturally responsive practices Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to support student learning and development Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to interpret assessment results and design educational interventions Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) alongside multidisciplinary teams Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support to students as needed Participate in team meetings and contribute to policies promoting mental health and safe school climates Stay current with best practices and emerging research in school psychology This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in a nurturing and collaborative school setting.
