Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced school psychologist passionate about supporting student success. This contract role is based near West Chicago, IL, serving for the 2026-2027 academic year. Become a vital resource for students and staff, working on-site full-time from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027. You'll enjoy a structured weekday schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a possible option for some hybrid flexibility.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification and credentials required for school psychology Previous experience as a school psychologist in an educational setting is preferred Strong diagnostic, assessment, and report-writing skills Experience with initial and triennial evaluations Proven ability to participate in and contribute to IEPs and special education meetings Comfortable as a member of a crisis intervention team Excellent communication and collaborative problem-solving abilities
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and write detailed psychological reports Collaborate in consultative processes with multidisciplinary teams Coordinate and complete paperwork for student assessments and reevaluations Play an active role on the Crisis Intervention Team, providing assistance as needed Participate in IEP meetings, building-level discussions, and special education sessions to ensure the best outcomes for students Support educators and families with expert guidance and recommendations relevant to student well-being and academic progress This is a meaningful opportunity to make a significant impact on the school community.
