This contract leave coverage opportunity spans from December 7, 2026, through March 21, 2027, and is ideal for dedicated professionals seeking a flexible, part-time schedule of three days each week. As an essential part of the school community, youll work closely with students, educators, and families near De Soto, KS, providing expertise in assessment, intervention, and counseling to foster academic, social, and emotional growth during this leave period.
Qualifications and Experience:
Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Kansas (or eligibility to obtain) Experience supporting K-12 students in a school setting preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to create and implement effective intervention plans Knowledge of special education processes, IEP development, and psychoeducational assessments
Role Duties:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents for multifaceted student support Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for student plans Deliver individual and group counseling sessions as needed Provide crisis intervention and consultation services to assist in student well-being Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards This contract offers you the flexibility to balance your professional aspirations with your personal commitments, all while playing a pivotal role in shaping a positive school environment.
