This full-time, onsite contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through the academic year, running from now until late May 2027. Collaborate with educators and families as a School Psychologist, playing a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current Louisiana Department of Education (DOE) School Psychologist Certificate is required Proficiency conducting psychological assessments, interpreting data, and recommending action plans for students spanning various age groups Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and across multiple school sites (specific assignments to be determined) Comprehensive understanding of state and federal special education laws and processes Must meet additional credentialing, including drug screening and district fingerprint background check
Responsibilities Include:
Conducting evaluations and assessments for students as referred Developing, implementing, and monitoring intervention plans in line with IEP requirements and best practices Facilitating collaboration between staff, families, and community partners to foster supportive educational solutions Providing crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services as needed Maintaining accurate and timely case documentation in accordance with established protocols The position offers a consistent daytime schedule: Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week, seven-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, following the school calendar.
