Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time contract opportunity is available for a licensed school psychologist providing telehealth services in Harvey, Louisiana. This role supports students within the Jefferson Parish school system during the 2026-2027 academic year, following the traditional school calendar.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for students Delivering telehealth counseling and interventions tailored to student needs Collaborating with educators and families to develop and implement behavioral and educational plans Maintaining detailed records in compliance with professional and state guidelines Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student progress Qualifications and experience sought: Active Louisiana Department of Education certification as a school psychologist Valid professional license in Louisiana or the candidate's state of residence Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is highly preferred, especially for out-of-state applicants Proven ability to deliver services effectively via telehealth platforms Strong understanding of educational and psychological assessment practices This role offers a standard full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), running from early August 2026 through late May 2027.
