Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact by supporting young learners' educational journeys as a full-time School Psychologist in the vibrant Cambridge, MA area. This contract opportunity provides the chance to collaborate within a dynamic educational environment, working with students in grades K-5 across two elementary schools. This is an ideal position for someone ready to jump in and start as soon as possible, bringing expertise and compassion to the role.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid and current credentials as a School Psychologist Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a school setting Strong skills in psychoeducational assessments, behavioral and academic interventions, and developing IEPs Excellent communication and collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families Ability to manage a full-time (40 hours/week) schedule split between two school campuses Adaptable, organized, and committed to supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for K-5 students and interpret results for educational planning Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of individualized plans Collaborate with educators and families to design effective behavioral and academic interventions Offer consultative support to teachers and staff regarding students' social-emotional and learning needs Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed Maintain detailed, confidential records in compliance with district and state regulations
