Summary:
Come join a growing team providing school based mental health counseling support to children of all ages across the State of Maine. We offer 10-month positions to match the school year as well as 12-month positions with summer months spent serving children in our intensive outpatient program at Acadia Hospital and/or providing continual counseling services, via telehealth, to your school-based clients through our outpatient clinic. With varying opportunities for all master's level clinician licensure levels (LCPC-C, LCPC, LMSW-CC, LCSW) as well as remote and onsite positions available

  • on site, full time The school-based Psychiatric Clinician I is a conditionally licensed (LMSW-CC, LCPC-C) or fully licensed (LCSW, LCPC) therapist who provides behavioral health treatment, education, planning and consultation within schools and school systems.
Relying on evidence-based practices, they provide a range of services from psychosocial evaluations, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, IEP support and family therapy when indicated. They are a consultant and resource for the school system and help guide program development, decision-making, and implementing plans designed to support and improve the mental wellbeing of the students. Working Conditions Lifting, moving and loading less than 20 pounds. Lifting, moving and loading 20 to 30 pounds. Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends). Prolonged periods of standing. Prolonged periods of walking.
