Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility in Michigan Masters or higher degree in School Psychology or related field Experience providing psychological assessments and interventions in a school setting Strong knowledge of state and federal guidelines regarding special education Proficient in conducting psychoeducational evaluations, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and implementing evidence-based strategies Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to support educational planning and intervention Interpret assessment data and communicate findings to staff and families Develop tailored recommendations and participate in the creation of IEPs Provide individual and group counseling for students facing academic or social-emotional challenges Serve as a resource for teachers and parents regarding learning differences, mental health, and behavior management Assist in crisis intervention, prevention, and safety planning when needed Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to compliance with legal and ethical standards Enjoy a role where you can focus on your craft, build meaningful connections, and make a real impact, all while benefitting from flexible contract scheduling.
