9644528-48216 Job Description Step into a dynamic and meaningful role as a School Psychologist, supporting high school students across multiple campuses in the Detroit, MI area. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 18, 2027, with work hours from 9:00am to 2:30pm, totaling 27.5 hours per week. Youll collaborate with a dedicated educational team and make a difference in the lives of approximately 120 special education students. As an itinerant professional, you will serve four campusesall conveniently located within a ten-minute drive of each otherincluding one within a juvenile justice facility. This high school caseload presents both unique challenges and opportunities to make lasting, positive impacts.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Experience working in high school settings preferred Background with special education populations (IEPs, evaluations, and supports) Skilled in collaboration with multidisciplinary educational teams Compassionate communicator, adept at advocating for diverse student needs Familiarity with supporting students in juvenile justice settings is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychological services including assessments, counseling, and behavioral interventions Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective strategies for student success Manage IEP processes, documentation, and compliance Offer crisis intervention and consultative support as needed Adapt services across multiple school environments
