School Psychologist Employment Type:
FullTime, Contract Job Location:
Detroit, MI Job Description A school district in Detroit, Michigan is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a fulltime, schoolbased contract. This position serves K12 students and focuses on assessment, intervention, and collaboration to support academic achievement and socialemotional development. Candidates who are collaborative, detailoriented, and committed to student success are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate academic, cognitive, behavioral, and socialemotional functioning Interpret assessment results and prepare clear, compliant written evaluation reports Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team discussions Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health needs Support the development and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Assist with MTSS, early intervention, and schoolbased mental health initiatives as applicable Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Support a safe, inclusive, and studentcentered learning environment Qualifications Active Michigan School Psychologist certification/license required Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates Education Masters degree, Educational Specialist (Ed.
