Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference as a school psychologist supporting both elementary and high school students in a vibrant educational environment near Detroit, MI. This contract opportunity provides candidates with flexibility—consideration for both full-time (34.75 hours/week) and part-time engagement means you can tailor your schedule to suit your needs. Your day will include working on a dedicated campus for 6.75 hours with a 30-minute lunch break, along with participation in a weekly one-hour staff meeting. The core focus of your responsibilities will revolve around conducting evaluations, particularly at the elementary level, helping students access the resources and support they deserve.
Required Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active licensure/certification as a School Psychologist Experience with both elementary and high school caseloads preferred Strong assessment and evaluation skills Effective communication skills with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and assessments, focusing primarily on elementary students Collaborate with staff, teachers, and families to develop and implement strategies that support student well-being and success Attend and contribute insights during weekly staff meetings Provide crisis intervention, consultation, and recommendations for program improvement as needed Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and legal standards In return for your expertise, hourly compensation ranges from $48 to $65, complemented by eligibility for healthcare benefits, housing accommodations, and meal/incidentals support to help you make the most of your travel assignment.
