Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract A dynamic opportunity is open for a contract school psychologist to support elementary and high school students near Ypsilanti, MI. In this full-time position, you'll engage in meaningful work focusing on student evaluations—especially at the elementary level—while playing an essential role in student development and staff collaboration. The workweek consists of 34.75 hours, with daily shifts of 6.75 hours, a 30-minute lunch, and participation in a weekly one-hour staff meeting. Flexible arrangements are available, as applications from part-time candidates are also welcomed.
Key Qualifications:
Current state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist Experience with evaluations and assessments in a school setting Skilled in providing psychological services across elementary and high school populations Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Ability to balance independent work and participation in team meetings Knowledge of special education processes and compliance standards is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations, particularly at the elementary level Provide psychological services and consultations for students, teachers, and families Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to develop and implement student support strategies Participate actively in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and related school functions Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with all pertinent regulations and timelines
