Make a positive impact on students' lives by sharing your expertise as a School Psychologist supporting elementary, middle, and high school levels. This is a contract opportunity situated in a vibrant community near Burnsville, MN, where your specialized skills will be highly valued. What you'll do: Conduct comprehensive assessments, observations, and report writing for students referred for academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective support strategies in a multi-tiered system of support. Provide counseling and intervention services to students individually or in groups, tailored to their unique developmental stages. Participate in the creation and execution of IEPs and 504 plans, ensuring compliance with both state and federal guidelines. Offer consultation and professional development for school staff on behavior management, mental health awareness, and best practices for inclusive education. Support crisis intervention and contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote a safe, healthy learning environment.
Qualifications and experience:
Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field. Current and valid School Psychologist license for the state of Minnesota. Experience working at the elementary, middle, and/or high school levels strongly preferred. Strong skills in assessment, report writing, and development of intervention strategies. Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
