Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students' social, emotional, and educational development as a School Psychologist in a vibrant educational environment near Burnsville, MN.
Two distinct opportunities are available:
a part-time position starting September 8, 2026, running through June 10, 2027 (16 hours per week, aligned with the school schedule), and a maternity leave coverage role commencing October 5th, with an end date to be determined. Qualifications and Skills:
Valid licensure as a School Psychologist Prior school-based experience is required Ability to adapt to school schedules and assignment lengths Capacity to complete agency onboarding and local district background checks with ease Reliable transportation to and from the work location Positive standing from any previous school-based placements if already credentialed
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, observations, and screenings Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support academic and emotional growth of students Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies and behavior plans Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise regarding student needs Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state standards Support a welcoming, inclusive, and resourceful atmosphere for all students and staff A contract position in this setting allows for meaningful, ongoing relationships with students and staff while developing your practice.
