Position Summary:
The Psychometrist will play a crucial role in our practice by directly administering and scoring a variety of standardized psychological and neuropsychological assessment tools to patients under the direct supervision of the licensed psychologist. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain a comfortable and professional testing environment for individuals of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer a wide range of in-person, one-on-one psychological and neuropsychological tests to patients aged 5 and up, including but not limited to the WAIS, WISC, NEPSY, WIAT, WRAT, and other specialized assessments, following strict standardized procedures. Establish and maintain rapport with patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, to ensure optimal performance and cooperation during testing. Monitor patient behavior and engagement throughout the assessment process, providing appropriate encouragement and breaks as needed,
Scoring & Data Management:
Accurately score psychological and neuropsychological tests according to established guidelines and manuals. Document detailed behavioral observations during testing sessions, noting relevant qualitative information to aid in clinical interpretation. Upload all assessment data and documented observations into the electronic health record (EHR) system in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information and records. Prepare and organize testing materials for scheduled appointments. Maintain inventory of testing protocols and materials, reporting needs for replenishment. Assist with other clinical or administrative tasks as assigned by the supervising psychologist.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Psychology or a closely related field (e.g., Cognitive Science, Human Development).
Experience:
