Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Exciting new opportunity now open for a dedicated school psychologist seeking a dynamic, full-time, contract role. This position focuses on supporting K-6th grade students, offering the chance to create positive change within a thriving learning environment not far from Durham, NC. You'll be on site, collaborating with engaged educators and a supportive multidisciplinary team to ensure every student's needs are met through expert evaluations and assessments. As an integral part of the school's support structure, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact while enhancing your professional skills in a respected and welcoming school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active School Psychologist certification (or eligibility) in North Carolina Experience with student evaluations and assessments, particularly for elementary age group Knowledge of current best practices for supporting students in K-6th grades Strong skills in communication, report writing, and collaborative problem solving Ability to work effectively in an in-person educational environment Prior school-based experience preferred, but new graduates with strong internship experience are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and assessments Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to identify and address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Develop actionable recommendations and strategies to enhance student success Maintain clear and detailed documentation in accordance with school policies Support crisis intervention and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings This contract, full-time position offers the chance to develop your expertise while working closely with a passionate school community.
