Job Description

This opportunity near Durham, NC is ideal for an experienced School Psychologist committed to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth among students in diverse educational environments.
Key Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure in North Carolina Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or closely related field Previous experience in K-12 school settings is highly desirable Strong skills in assessment, counseling, consultation, and behavioral interventions In-depth knowledge of special education processes, including IEPs and eligibility determination Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations Offer individual and group counseling to support students emotional well-being Assist with crisis intervention, prevention, and response plans Consult with teachers and staff to develop strategies that enhance student success Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school climate Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines
