Division:
Division of Counseling & Psychology Department Graduate Counseling Description Rivier University hires part-time adjunct faculty in the Counseling and Psychology graduate programs on a semester-to-semester basis. We are seeking qualified instructors to teach graduate-level courses across our Master's and Doctoral programs in counseling and psychology. Graduate courses are offered online while Doctoral courses are offered in-person at our Nashua, NH campus. Successful candidates will have relevant academic and professional experience and a commitment to high-quality graduate education aligned with the mission of Rivier University's Department of Counseling and Psychology. Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at least one section of Counseling and Psychology with the potential for future courses in the candidate's field. Provide instruction with a keen interest and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students of all levels and abilities. Previous teaching experience is strongly preferred. Work collaboratively with colleagues, both in the division and throughout the University. Qualifications An earned doctoral degree in Counseling or Psychology or a related field. License in Psychology preferred. Candidate must possess a keen interest and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students as well as the ability to work effectively with students of all levels and abilities. Be able to work with a diverse student population. Must have two to four year's prior college teaching experience in the field of Counseling and Psychology is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues both in the department and throughout the University community. Support the Mission of the University. Ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information. Self-starter, ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form, and Computer skills and proficiency with a variety of computer applications including word-processing, and reporting platforms, as well as calendaring and email.
