Starting at $45/hour Bring ABA Into the Classroom Where It Actually Has to Work A behavior plan can look great on paper. The real test is whether it works in a classroom with 20 students, a busy teacher, changing schedules, and real life happening around you. Interactive Kids is looking for a BCBA or BCaBA to join our School Consultation Team, with a current need in the Bridgeton, NJ area . This is a great opportunity for a clinician who enjoys being out in the field, working independently, building relationships with educators, and figuring out how to make behavioral supports practical in actual school environments. You'll work directly within schools, partnering with teachers, Child Study Teams, paraprofessionals, administrators, families, and other professionals to help students succeed. What You'll Be Doing Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop practical, data-driven Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Observe students across classroom and school environments to understand behavior in context Analyze behavioral data and adjust recommendations based on student progress Collaborate with teachers, Child Study Teams, paraprofessionals, administrators, families, and other school professionals Train and coach school staff through modeling, observation, feedback, and consultation Supervise and support RBTs and ABA Therapists assigned to your cases Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a behavioral resource for school teams Provide consultation and behavioral support for both special education and general education students Partner with principals, guidance counselors, teachers, and other school personnel when supporting general education needs Complete clear, actionable consultation notes and required documentation Manage cases across assigned school locations with independence and organization Let's Talk Location & Travel This opening is specifically focused on supporting schools in the Bridgeton and greater Cumberland County area , so we're especially interested in connecting with BCBAs and BCaBAs who live in or around Bridgeton, Vineland, Millville, Salem County, or surrounding South Jersey communities . Don't live right around the corner? That's okay too. If you're comfortable commuting to the Bridgeton area and like the independence and variety that comes with school consultation, we'd still love to hear from you. Because this is a field-based position, reliable transportation and a willingness to travel between assigned locations are required. Travel compensation/stipends may apply based on assignment. Why School Consultation? You're not walking into a perfectly controlled environment. You're helping teams figure out what works within the environment they actually have . Sometimes that means conducting an FBA. Sometimes it's helping a teacher understand why a behavior keeps happening. Sometimes it's modeling a strategy, meeting with a Child Study Team, coaching an RBT, or helping a principal and guidance counselor think through supports for a general education student. Your clinical knowledge matters, but so does your ability to communicate, adapt, collaborate, and build trust. That's what makes school consultation different. You Might Be a Great Fit If You... Are a current BCBA or BCaBA Have experience working in schools or collaborating with educational teams Are confident conducting FBAs and developing function-based interventions Understand how to turn ABA concepts into strategies that teachers and school staff can realistically implement Are comfortable navigating IEPs, district procedures, and multidisciplinary meetings Balance warmth and professionalism and know how to give feedback with tact Can build strong working relationships with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff Enjoy working independently while still having a clinical team to collaborate with Are organized, flexible, and comfortable managing multiple cases and locations Are willing and able to commute to Bridgeton, NJ and surrounding areas Why Interactive Kids?
