About Us:
East Bay Educational Testing Agency (EBETA) is committed to conducting up to date, research-based, Psycho-educational child study team evaluations and providing school-based counseling services. EBETA services public school districts, private schools, and provides second opinions.
Job Brief:
The School Psychologist will serve as a member of the Child Study Team and educational consultant to teachers, principals, and parents. This position will be per diem to support leave replacement positions for school districts. The School Psychologist will be responsible for the determination and classification for students requiring special education and related services. Contracts can vary based on needs of district (1-5 days per week) Responsibilities Serve on the child study team. Is responsible for the identification, evaluation, and determination of eligibility for special education, and if appropriate develop an Individual Education Program. Administer, score and evaluate standard psychological tests for the purpose of assessing the intellectual, educational, emotional, social and behavioral characteristics of referred and classified scholars. Conşult on the educational needs of classified students. Interpret school psychological testing to school staff and scholar guardians. Collaborate with other specialists and agencies in the implementation of classified scholar programs in the school. Serves as the primary case manager for classified scholars and maintains appropriate case records. Coordinates the development, monitoring, and evaluation of individual education program. Provide counseling services as needed for students Prior experience conducting threat assessments Coordinates annual reviews and the reevaluation processes. To Perform all duties related to the child study team function as assigned by the Supervisor/ Director. Minimum Requirements A minimum of a Master's degree NJ School Psychologist Certification NASP Certification (preferred) Required criminal history background check, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. Knowledge of NJ Special Education Code Experience with individual and group counseling with children and adolescents. Experience in evaluating students with disabilities using current valid assessment tools Experience with case management responsibilities (preferred) Experience with IEP software (Frontline, Realtime Etc.)
