Job Description

Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist or Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant on a contract basis, working at a welcoming school community near Toms River, NJ. This opportunity is tailored for dedicated professionals keen to make a measurable difference in the lives of children by guiding evaluations, case management, and eligibility processes.
Qualifications:
Active NJ School Psychologist or LDTC certification required Experience working with elementary-aged students is highly valued Strong background in conducting educational and psychological evaluations Skilled in collaborative work and clear communication with staff and families Comfortable with managing caseloads and maintaining thorough documentation Familiarity with eligibility determination for special education services
Responsibilities:
Provide thorough evaluations and assessments in accordance with school and state procedures Manage cases to ensure appropriate interventions and supports for each student Guide the eligibility process, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and families Maintain accurate records of evaluations, interventions, and meetings Serve as a resource for teachers and staff regarding learning needs and accommodations Participate in ongoing meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
Position Details:
