Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Put your expertise to work supporting a vibrant school community near Mescalero, NM. This contract opportunity calls for a School Psychologist seeking to make a meaningful impact within a supportive educational environment. You will collaborate closely with faculty, students, and families to empower youth, foster positive outcomes, and provide essential services as a valued member of the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid state licensure as a School Psychologist or eligibility to obtain credentials Master's or higher degree in School Psychology or a related field Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and intervention planning in educational settings Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Familiarity with IEP processes, RTI/MTSS frameworks, and best practices for serving diverse student populations Ability to work full-time preferred, with openness to region-based assignments
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to inform student supports and accommodations Develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans, collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to eligibility determinations, and assist with crisis intervention as needed Offer consultation and professional development to staff regarding mental health, behavior management, and learning differences Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with all requirements This position offers the opportunity to positively influence young lives and contribute your expertise to a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
