Job Description:
The Licensed Psychologist is responsible for providing professional mental health care to inmates/residents. The psychologist will conduct psychological screenings and assessments, provide counseling and treatment, develop individualized treatment plans, respond to mental health crises, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure appropriate and coordinated patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through review of available records and clinical interviews with inmates/residents. Evaluate psychological functioning, mental health needs, and treatment requirements. Develop, implement, monitor, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and level of functioning. Provide individual mental health treatment and psychological counseling.
Requirements:
Current and unrestricted psychology license in the state where the candidate will practice. Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
Minimum degree requirement:
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience . Experience must include at least 1 year in a comparable position . Ability to work 40 hours per week, 5 days per week.
