Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact this fall by supporting young learners as a School Psychologist in a vibrant educational setting near Accord, NY. This full-time contract opportunity will cover a maternity leave, allowing you to contribute your expertise to students in kindergarten through third grade during a critical stretch of the academic year. Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in New York State Demonstrated experience providing psychological services in an elementary school setting (K-3 preferred) Proficiency in assessment, intervention, and counseling with young children Strong communication and consultation skills for working with students, teachers, and families Ability to navigate IEP/504 plan development and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments for elementary students Collaborate with educators and families to support students' academic and behavioral needs Develop, implement, and monitor intervention strategies and progress Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and documentation Offer counseling and crisis intervention as needed, fostering a safe and supportive environment Maintain accurate, confidential records and comply with all regulatory requirements Bring your compassionate expertise to a role where you'll positively influence student growth and well-being during a vital period in their education.
