In-Person Position Summary Blue Sea Educational Consulting is seeking compassionate and skilled Behavior Intervention Specialists (BIS) to provide individualized behavioral support to students. We are currently prioritizing providers who are available to accept cases in the Hicksville area , with additional opportunities available in other locations based on provider availability and preferred travel radius. This flexible, independent contractor opportunity allows providers to select cases that align with their schedules, geographic preferences, and professional experience. Services may be delivered in school, home, or community settings, as determined by each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). Key Responsibilities Provide direct, individualized behavioral support to students. Implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Follow session plans based on each student's IEP goals and individualized needs. Fulfill service mandates established by the Committee on Special Education (CSE). Collect accurate and timely data to monitor student progress. Complete detailed and objective session notes following each session. Collaborate professionally with families, school personnel, supervisors, and other members of the student's support team, as appropriate. Maintain student confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards at all times. Qualifications Candidates must hold a master's degree in one of the following areas: Applied Behavior Analysis Special Education, with ABA experience Psychology, with ABA experience Social Work, with ABA experience Qualified candidates should also possess: Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral support needs. Experience reviewing and implementing IEPs and behavior intervention plans. Strong communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently while following established goals and service requirements. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional guidelines. Schedule and Service Locations Flexible scheduling based on provider availability and student or family needs. Immediate opportunities are available in the Hicksville area . Additional cases may be available in other locations, allowing providers to select opportunities based on their preferred travel area. Services may take place in school, home, or community settings, as outlined in the student's IEP.
