Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Direct Hire Make a meaningful impact in K-12 education by supporting students' growth and well-being near Jamaica, NY! This sought-after position offers flexibility, a collaborative school setting, and the opportunity to work with diverse learners. You'll focus on psychological evaluations for CPSE-aged students and lead the way in helping families and educators build the strongest foundations for student success. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available, with most direct student work occurring Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and Friday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., with time for report writing after school hours.
Key Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification Experience in schools or with school-aged populations (K-12) Bilingual proficiency in Yiddish (a strict requirement) Ability to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations Strong written and communication skills for clear, impactful reports Commitment to cultural sensitivity and supporting diverse families
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete psychological evaluations for CPSE-aged students in a school-based setting Prepare thorough, timely evaluation reports in accordance with school and state guidelines Collaborate with educators and families to interpret findings and recommend supports Address a variety of student needs across multiple age groups, providing valuable insights for their educational teams Balance direct interaction with students and time for detailed documentation You'll thrive in a supportive, mission-driven environment offering flexibility and the satisfaction of making a significant difference every day.
