Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive student assessments including psychological testing, behavioral evaluations, social-emotional assessments, and special education diagnostic testing to identify individual needs. Develop and implement individualized support plans such as IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and behavioral intervention strategies aligned with special education law. Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on social-emotional development, mental health support, and behavior management for students with diverse needs. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, speech therapists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate student support services and optimize educational outcomes. Perform crisis intervention as needed, creating safety plans and managing conflict situations with sensitivity and professionalism. Assist in early intervention efforts by conducting student needs assessments and providing recommendations for additional support or referrals. Maintain accurate medical documentation, psychological records, and progress reports in compliance with confidentiality standards and school policies. Qualifications NYS certification in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution. Proven experience working with children in educational settings, especially those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Strong knowledge of special education assessments, behavioral health interventions, crisis management, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Familiarity with IEP processes, special education law, psychological testing procedures, and social-emotional student assessments. Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, healthcare providers, and community resources. Ability to perform patient assessment tasks accurately while maintaining compassion for students' diverse backgrounds and needs.

Pay:

$95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
