Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Pain Psychologist in Manhattan, NY with excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and team player attitude. This provider will be responsible for caring for patients, communicating with other medical team members and maintaining accurate medical records. Duties Including but not limited to: Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for patients with diagnoses including, but not limited to: chronic pain, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and general emotional and cognitive functioning Assess patient's physical, functional, psychosocial, and emotional needs and use that information to develop a comprehensive and dynamic treatment plan enabling each patient to achieve optimal levels of function in self-care, activities of daily living, work, and leisure. Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions at each visit, which may include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, biofeedback, mindfulness-based interventions, and psychoeducation The psychologist shall provide clear verbal and written communication of patient progress, including documentation of baseline measurements and ongoing assessment data. Discharge planning shall begin at the time of initial evaluation, with provision of necessary home education programs and aftercare instructions.
Job Requirements:
Ph.D or Psy.

D in Clinical or Counseling psychology Completion of a pre-doctoral internship accredited by the APA or CPA 2 years of experience as a professional psychologist 1 year experience in behavioral health interventions for chronic pain Minimum 2 years experience in health psychology, behavioral medicine, pr chronic pain management in one or more of following specialty areas: telehealth pain management and/or substance use comorbidities Current State License to practice BLS -
