Position Title School Psychologist (Doctoral Level) - Leave Replacement Required Application Type Teacher / Admin Job Description Probationary School Psychologist (Doctoral Level)
District:
Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is seeking a Doctoral-Level School Psychologist to support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development across the district's secondary schools. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, counselors, and families to provide comprehensive psychological services that promote student success and well-being. Responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations Providing counseling and crisis intervention services for students Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs Collaborating with building teams on intervention planning and implementation Participating in CSE meetings and developing recommendations for appropriate supports and services Consulting with teachers, staff, and families regarding behavioral and mental health strategies Assisting in the development and monitoring of behavior intervention plans Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
Doctorate in School Psychology or related field required Valid New York State certification/licensure as a School Psychologist required BCBA training or certification preferred Experience in behavioral assessment and intervention strongly preferred Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
