Job Description

The ideal candidate will:
  • Provide behavioral support to classrooms,
  • Conduct functional behavioral assessments,
  • Develop behavior intervention plans and
  • Conduct psychological evaluations.
This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
Summary:
  • The school psychologist provides direct support and intervenons to students. They will work and consult with teachers, families and other professionals.
  • He/she will have experience working with administrators and colleagues to support school-wide pracces and policies and individualized intervenons to address student needs.
  • He/she will be directly responsible for psychological assessment of cognive, academic, social, emoonal and behavioral funconing of students. The students will be referred for evaluaons using standardized methods and observaons.
  • The school psychologist is a key member of building level support teams, leads funconal behavior assessment and behavior intervenon plan development when directed by the Commiee on Special Educaon. This person will also oversee the collecon and summarizaon of behavioral data including reporng to the CSE.
  • Performing all other dues as assigned by his/her supervisor.
