Schedule:
Day shift (8:00 AM•4:00 PM or 9:00 AM•5:00 PM), Monday•
Friday Position Overview:
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a fully accredited community teaching hospital, seeks a Licensed Clinical Psychologist for an immediate full-time opportunity. The psychologist will have opportunities to provide high-quality behavioral health care across the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, Nursing Home, Women's Health Center, and Family Health Center, serving a diverse and underserved population.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Carea. Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based psychotherapies for patients aged 5 and above. Deliver individual, family, and group therapy, functioning as a primary psychology contact for treatment teams. Provide psychological consultation to medical staff and participate in interdisciplinary care planning. Perform crisis management and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Teaching and Supervision. Supervise and evaluate Psychiatry Residents, Clinical Psychology Interns, and Externs.b. Serve as core faculty, providing mentorship and instruction.c. Lead case conferences, journal clubs, and didactic seminars to enhance academic learning. . Performance/Quality Improvement & Researcha. Lead or participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement projects to enhance patient care outcomes. Contribute to clinical research studies and may participate in outcome investigations as designated by the department .
Qualifications:
1 .
Minimum:
Doctoral Degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.

D.) Current New York State license and registration as a psychologist. .
Preferred:
Prior community mental health or hospital-based experience; experience working with diverse populations.
