Month, Full Time Appointment Requirements:
Master's or Specialist-level degree (e.
g., MA, MS, Ed.
S, or Ph.D.) in School Psychology.
Valid New York State School Psychologist certification or eligibility.
Strong understanding of special education laws, including IDEA and Section 504.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with personal computer, Chromebooks and instructional equipment.
Background check and fingerprint clearance through Identogo/TEACH (New York State Education Department)

Wilson Board of Education Essential Job Functions:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations. Interpret assessment results and provide clear, actionable recommendations. Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and mental health. Support the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework and data-based decision-making. Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school psychology. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to special education. Promote a safe and inclusive school environment that supports student success.
