Clinical Psychologist - Inpatient Rehabilitation Summa Health | Akron, Ohio Summa Health's Behavioral Health Institute is seeking a licensed or license-eligible Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our multidisciplinary team at Summa Rehab Hospital, a premier inpatient rehabilitation facility serving patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and other complex neurological and medical conditions. Position Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological and neurobehavioral evaluations of inpatient rehabilitation patients. Assess mood, coping, adjustment, cognitive functioning, and behavioral concerns related to illness, injury, and recovery. Provide individual, family, supportive, and brief therapeutic interventions. Evaluate decision-making capacity, emotional functioning, and barriers to treatment participation. Develop behavioral and psychological recommendations that support rehabilitation goals and patient engagement. Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to optimize recovery outcomes. Provide consultation, education, and support to patients, families, and rehabilitation staff. Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation. Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
